GEOPHYS 240: Borehole Seismic Profiling

This course covers topics in modern cross-well seismic profiling, including data acquisition, tomography and reflection data processing. Students will gain knowledge and experience with designing and implementing cross-well surveys and processing crosswell datasets. The course makes use of field and simulated datasets to illustrate applications to reservoir imaging and reservoir monitoring. Homework and class project. Prerequisites: 160 or equivalent; familiarity with Matlab or other programming language. Offered every other year, spring quarter.
